The exact nature of the derangement is unique to each Malkavian, though many are still capable of being functioning members of Kindred society, otherwise, they would be not allowed to walk among the mortals and potentially endanger the Masquerade. When a mortal is turned into a Malkavian, their mental state is altered forever.
Paradox Interactive has revealed that the last playable clan available in the base version of Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines 2at launch will be the Malkavians, who are known for both their incredible foresight and for the madness that controls each member of the clan in a different way.
